As 2022 comes to a close, we wanted to thank you for your ongoing support of The One Box. In another year of increased food insecurity and financial hardship, we’re proud to announce that The One Box grew from providing 60,000 boxes in 2021 to over 100,000 boxes of fresh fruit, vegetables, milk and bread to over 2,500 households weekly in 2022. This equates to an incredible 1 million kgs of fresh and wholesome produce to Australians in need.
We’re happy to celebrate the growth of our core program and social enterprises – the Fresh Food Project which gained Social Trader recognition this year as well as our school fruit program which supplied 30,000 pieces of fruit to schools.
With a growing waitlist of schools and community organisations, the demand across Australia continues to grow. In 2023, we will welcome 20 new schools to our program. With an ambitious target of providing 150,000 boxes to 3,500 households weekly across Australia, The One Box will be partnering with over 100 hubs, including schools, charities, and community organisations in 2023.
