It’s time to turn a new leaf (quite literally), as we transition from Summer to the cooler temperatures of Autumn. And with that, we officially welcome a new season of fresh Autumn fruit, as we prepare to fill your office fruit boxes with an abundance of delicious apples, pears, bananas, and more.
The Aut-yum season has commenced with delicious Royal Gala apples making an appearance in your weekly fruit boxes. These apples are packed with nutrients and vitamins that help improve your brain and heart health. Over the coming months, we’ll also be filling your office fruit boxes with a wide variety of Pink Lady, Granny Smith, Red Delicious and Sundowner apples.
The season has started strong with the availability of Green William and Beurre Bosc pears. Pears are a close cousin of apples and an excellent source of fibre and vitamin C to keep your immune system fighting fit. Both these varieties are on the sweeter side and ideal for snacking on at 3pm when the sugar cravings hit! Bananas happen to be another favourite afternoon snack in the office, and we can already tell they will be in good supply over Autumn as we head out of the cyclone window in Far North Queensland.
As the cooler weather hits our Southern crops, Queensland will also start providing us with delicious strawberries across the year. Strawberries are rich in vitamin C, magnesium and antioxidants that help boost immunity in adults, and are available to add as a preference item to your fruit order.
You can also expect to see your office fruit boxes filled with the ultimate vitamin C combo of juicy Mandarins and Navel Oranges, by the end of April.
