Important Delivery & Order Information

Delivery Day / Time:

We aim to make all deliveries from early morning until midday and deliveries will be left unattended. For deliveries to houses, if your delivery is made after 7am the driver will attempt to see if someone is home before they leave. If you live in an apartment building, there is a greater chance that delivery will occur before 7am. Therefore, dependent on access available at the time of delivery, the driver will leave your order unattended in a safe place either inside or outside the building.

Your order will be refrigerated to the point of delivery.

You order will be allocated to the next available delivery date relevant to the day and time you have submitted your order, as outlined in the table below. Please note that expected delivery dates are subject to pack limits. We’ll let you know if your delivery day will vary to this schedule.

Order Confirmation / Changes / Cancellations:

Your order is confirmed once you have successfully submitted your order and payment is approved by your card provider. You will receive an email confirming your delivery day shortly after submitting your order, and your tax invoice will be emailed within 24 hours.

Once your order has been submitted it cannot be changed or cancelled. No refunds will be issued. Packs are not customisable.

As an Australian owned and operated company, we’re proud to be using our 20 years’ of experience delivering office fruit and milk to launch home deliveries and support Australians with fresh, quality produce during this time. This service is currently available in selected Melbourne & Sydney suburbs. $5.00 from each order will be donated to our charity The One Box, which donates fresh produce, milk and bread to Australian families in need each week.

  • Q: Who can receive a home delivery?

    You can receive our temporary home delivery service if your delivery postcode is included in our home delivery catchment. Please use the online order form to check if your suburb is currently included in the delivery zone.
  • Q: Is there a delivery fee?

    There is no delivery fee. Our home delivery service is keeping our owned and operated fleet of refrigerated vans and staff of police-checked drivers extra busy as they continue to deliver our corporate fruit & milk deliveries.
  • Q: What is the order cut-off time?

    Our delivery drivers will be making deliveries Tuesday to Friday. Refer to the table below to see the expected delivery day dependent on when an online order is completed. When you submit your order, there is an option to include detailed instructions on where to leave your delivery unattended or if you have arranged to have your order left with the concierge/reception.   • Q: What is an unattended delivery?

    By accepting our terms and conditions you consent to an unattended delivery. An unattended delivery allows us to leave your order at your delivery location, even if no one is available to accept your order. Refer to the question above for more information.
  • Q: Can I order chilled items with an unattended delivery?

    Our driver will leave your order unattended in a safe location either inside or outside your house or apartment building, dependent on access available at the time of delivery. Your order will be refrigerated to the point of delivery. Please note that your order will be delivered in cardboard boxes and we advise you to not leave out chilled items for a long period of time.
  • Q: Can I add delivery instructions to my order?

    Yes, you can add delivery instructions when you complete the order form. If you live in an apartment or unit, we strongly advise that you add delivery instructions on a safe place to leave your order unattended so that our drivers can leave your order in a safe location. Our driver will leave your order unattended in a safe location either inside or outside your house or apartment building, dependent on access available at the time of delivery.
  • Q: Can you deliver to my apartment?

    Yes, we deliver to apartments. If you live in an apartment building, there is a greater chance that delivery will occur before 7am and it will be left unattended. Therefore, dependent on access available at the time of delivery, the driver will leave your order unattended in a safe place either inside or outside the building. When you submit your order, there is an option to include detailed instructions on where to leave your delivery unattended or if you have arranged to have your order left with the concierge/reception.
  • Q: Can the driver deliver my order inside my house?

    No, for deliveries to houses, our drivers will deliver your order to your doorstep only. For deliveries to apartments, the driver will leave your order unattended in a safe place either inside or outside the building.
  • Q: Can I customise my order?

    No modifications can be made by the customer to The Fruit Box @ Home pack options.
  • Q: Can I change or cancel my order?

    No modifications or cancellations can be made to your order once it has been submitted and paid for. If you need to modify your delivery date, please email your request to homedelivery@thefruitbox.com.au. Please ensure you refer to the delivery schedule table online before making your request to ensure you have met the order cut-off time requirements.
  • Q: If I’ve provided an incorrect address or the driver could not access my house/ apartment will I receive a refund for my order?

    No, it is the customers responsibility to provide correct address details in the order form and be available at your home for delivery.
  • Q: What payment options can I use?

    Payment will be accepted by credit card only (Visa, Mastercard or American Express).
  • Q: Why have you substituted a product?

    In some cases, we may need to substitute a product for another similar product that we have in stock including our fresh produce which may vary based on seasonal availability and quality standards.
  • Q: Are the boxes that my order comes in recyclable?

    Yes, our boxes are recyclable! All of our boxes are made from predominantly recycled wastepaper (corrugated packaging paper 100% recycled fibre, carton board 70% recycled wastepaper, 30% fibre from waste wood and plantation timber). Our boxes are fully biodegradable and compostable. You can keep the boxes we deliver to you then leave them out the night before your next delivery and we’ll ensure they are turned into new boxes!
  • Q: What are your quality control and food, health & safety practices?

    We pride ourselves on our food, health & safety regulations. Being HACCP certified ensures that our products meet a rigorous quality control checking process from the moment our produce leaves the farms until they are delivered to your office or home.

    Our Food Quality Management System and Food Safety Programs give us the confidence that the produce we deliver has been through rigorous quality control procedures consistent with the high standards associated with HACCP regulations. Our Food Quality Management System specifies process control requirements to manage all potential hazards at each step of the food handling process, within international standards.

    The Fruit Box complies with:

    • The principles of HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point)
    • The principles of AS/NZS ISO 9001:2008
    • Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) Food Standards Code “3.2.2 Food Safety Practices and General Requirements”

    At The Fruit Box Group, we’re committed to adhering to the highest standards of food, health and safety regulations. On top of our strict health and safety practices, we’ve taken further precautions in the past few months, such as implementing an organisation-wide COVID-19 Response Action Plan. We’re taking a variety of steps to ensure the safety of both our team and yours, including good hygiene practices for all employees as well as sanitisation and disinfectant measures for all surfaces, workstations and vehicles. The action plan includes, but is not limited to;

    Drivers/Packers Hygiene and Delivery

    Drivers and packers are required to wear Personal Protective Equipment, which includes wearing masks and single-use gloves on the packing line and during deliveries. Staff are also undertaking temperature testing checks prior to the start of their shift. Staff must practice good hygiene including frequently washing hands, using hand sanitiser and cleaning materials, wearing single use gloves and keeping a safe distance from others. Drivers are required to wear single use gloves when making deliveries and dispose of these after each use in an appropriate manner outside of the van. Minimal contact in workplaces and sites delivered to is strictly adhered too.

    Vehicle Hygiene

    All vehicles are cleaned after each shift and are fitted with wipe cleanser, hand sanitiser, single use gloves and disposable disinfectant wipes. Checks are in place to ensure all vehicles and machinery is cleaned between operators.

    Cleaning and Disinfection

    All common areas including wash stations, toilets and kitchen/break areas are cleaned and disinfected regularly, including regular rubbish removal and access to liquid soap, hand sanitiser, paper towel etc.
